Was there life (and hair) before Elva?
All you wanted to know about Roger Dunbar but were afraid to ask!

Way back in the early Sixties when Frank, Keith and a rather diminished Elva team were re-establishing themselves in Rye, I was gigging with the 'Untamed 4'. I was thinking 'drums', but not the Alfin brake version, but Premier and later Ludwig, as our Worthing based four-piece built up a reputation and a significant following along the south coast of England.

Suddenly we were making records, doing TV and touring with some big names, like Bill Haley, Gene Vincent, The Animals, Manfred Mann etc., however, eventually all good things come to an end. It is said that 'what goes round, comes around' and all these years later we find that there is a revival in interest in the Untamed, with two new CD's of the Sixties material issued, and a reformed band recording once again!

So take a look at www.theuntamed.org for a tiny break from motoring nostalgia and listen to some of the sounds of that wonderful era.

If you treat yourself to a CD of the Untamed then I will include the Elva feature shown on UK TV, to run on your computer and enjoy with my compliments.

If you really get totally wrapped up in all this nostalgia, you had better order one of the few remaining Limited Edition Prints, with various signatures, which include Sir Stirling and Bobby Rahal. One of the Prints was recently auctioned at Bexhill and fetched over £200.00 … WOW!

So I look forward to hearing from you together with your recommendation for a hair restoring treatment that works!
